TRAFFIC STUDY

A traffic study was carried out utilizing traditional tube counters and traffic cameras. The traffic camera system utilized the latest technology by Miovision to provide traffic count and turning movements at intersections.

TRAFFIC STUDY SUMMARY

Free-flow travel times for the entire Gladstone Road area should be approximately seven (7) minutes, resulting in an average speed of just under 30 mph.

During the morning commuter peak period, typical travel times range between 10 and 20 minutes.

During the afternoon commuter peak period, typical southbound travel times range between 8 and 14 minutes.

Travel times are highest on a Friday.

Weekend delays do not exceed 3 minutes compared to free-flow conditions.

The majority of congestion within the Corridor is observed approaching the JFK roundabout.

The other traffic hot spots include near Aquinas College/Jubilee subdivision and Fire Trail Intersection.
